Encanto Classroom Door Concept + Progress

I, like everyone else, watched Encanto recently. And I, like everyone else, am obsessed with it. I

decided I would do classroom door decorations related to the movie since it has a fantastic message that really resonates with my kids. They are obsessed with the songs, so we have been playing those any time of the day where we are doing independent work that isn’t too detailed. It often ends in a singalong! The movie’s diversity and representation within are top notch, allowing my students to feel seen as most of them are of comparable backgrounds to the characters.

I decided the theme for the decorations would be “The Miracle is You”… I wanted to include the 3 main sisters, Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabela. I love cousin Dolores though so I have also included her in the art for this project As well.

I have created the characters and have a vision in my head of what I want to execute. I will continue to share over the next week!
